For this assignment, I chose the film "Passenger Train". I chose this film because it is about a young boy who learns how to travel by train all by himself. It's interesting because this sort of thing never really happens anymore. Our generation has shifted to cars and airports. Before the boy boards the train, he looks for magazines and newspapers to read. He also follows signs on where to go. Nowadays people can easily just download a magazine straight onto their phone and there are now specific apps for transportation to make the journey easier.  Traveling back then had so many steps and was quite complex. The children on the train play chess and talk to each other to pass the time. In current times, children have their eyes glued to an electronic screen to pass the time. It's interesting looking back on how people interacted and how people traveled compared to now. Everything now is much faster and advanced. Back then technology did not even cross children's minds. 
If this were shown to a present day child, they would probably wonder where all the technology is, where the iPad is, where the music player is, etc. From the 1950's, the information society has grown and expanded immensely.
