In my search I came across a website created by DARPA, or the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and they explained they explain their new paradigm for domain specific search. It is interesting to see how they are still so many advances needed to be made to this Memex program. Chris White, the DARPA program manager, stated, "We’re envisioning a new paradigm for search that would tailor indexed content, search results and interface tools to individual users and specific subject areas, and not the other way around by inventing better methods for interacting with and sharing information, we want to improve search for everybody and individualize access to information. Ease of use for non-programmers is essential.” This new search engine is inspired from Bush's article "As We May Think", as an idea of a search engine to organize and store information and act as a human's memory. The evolution of this Memex program is quite impressive but seems that there needs to be serious adjustments before this idea is fool proof.

From the quote that you pulled from DARPA's new release, I wonder if DARPA is interested in figuring out how to improve how computers, processors, hard drives, and the like function to improve searching and storing, not only creating code and a program with a user friendly interface. Interesting find.
