Memex Simulator

During my Google search of the Memex, I found an intriguing website that was labeled as, "The Memex Simulator." The page was created by a Trevor F. Smith, who seemed to create the page as more of a hobby. He didn't include his credentials in his about me page so I did a Google search on him as well. It turns out he is some sort of engineer for Podipo, which is an engineering firm he founded in 2013. He home page does a nice job of alluding to both Bush's ideas of the Memex, as well as introducing his own thoughts on Bush's ideas. He goes on to say that Bush's Memex idea was so far above its time, so it was more of a fantasy than anything. This is what drove Smith to do research on topic and begin to create a simulator. He even built the simulator Bush envision which he calls, "Memex #001."

It was a little disappointing to see that the simulator was actually not yet finished by Smith, but nonetheless it was very interesting to read about his take on the Memex, see what he has built, and read about all of the specifications that went into the Memex he built too.
